Sam Altman focuses his practice toward the representation of banks, companies and individuals in business transactions and business
litigation. He has prevailed in cases argued before the South Carolina Supreme Court and the South Carolina Court of Appeals.
Sam is presently a member of the City of Charleston Board of Zoning Appeals and has served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the
City of North Charleston. He is a past president of the Charleston Lawyers Club.
He is a 1963 graduate of Tulane University and is a 1966 graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law School. Prior to
entering law school, Sam managed the family-owned Altman Furniture Company, a Charleston institution.
His interests include College of Charleston basketball, travel, and hiking.
